The three events that have had the greatest imact are crack eidemic, gang history, and immigration.
The first event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is the Crack Epidemic.The crack epidemic was a time in the 1980s when crack cocaine was a huge problem to communitiesin the United STATES .Freeway Ricky Ross was the main man behind the crack epidemic with the help of the CIA.Crack cocaine was tearing families apart, killing people, bringing down communities, and etc.The crack epidemic had a huge impact on South Central and making it what it is today.Crack cocaine changed South Central because it brought community leaders down and families.It still changes South Central today because people are probablystill healing from the crack epidemic.
The second event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is Gang History.Gang History is something positive gone negative.First gangs were created to protect their neighborhoods from white gangs and their racism.Also gangs wanted control over organizations in their communities.Now gangs are out for blood shed and who’s set is the hardest.Gangs back then had a better reason for their gangbanging now a day gangs have turned gangbanging into something that it wasn’t meant for.The impact on gangs have been huge because there have been so many murders do to gang violence.Gangbanging has changed South Central in many ways.Gangbanging now is about drugs, money, murders, and etc.
The third event that had a great imact on making South Central what it is today is the LA Riots.
My three choices were the Crack Epidemic, Gang History, and LA Riots.These are the three most important event because they all relate to each other in many ways.Crack cocaine was sold by gangs in Los Angeles handed down from the middle man of the drug trade.After the crack epidemic people in Los Angeles were so mad of what was happening to their communities they decided to riot because of high crime rate, drugs, and police brutality.I think South Central will change and become a better place but only way it can is only if people can make a difference and stay away from the deviance.
